RGB foto Led Silhouette 637x232

2020 season programme
Choreography by Jon López and Martxel Rodriguez
Premiere on September 23, 2021, in Teatro Municipal Joaquim Benite, Almada

"RGB" intends to be an immersive journey where, introducing elements such as fog, light or reflective metals, body and mind are placed in a continuous loop, changing the understanding and perception of what happens on stage. "RGB" proposes to involve the audience in a way that leads to a colorful and hypnotic experience.

"... light and darkness, brightness and obscurity, or if a more general expression is referred, light and its absence, are necessary to the production of colour [...] Colour itself is a degree of darkness." Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Martxel Rodríguez (Lesaka, 1990), began his professional career as a dancer at the Dantzaz company in 2013, working with choreographers such as Itzik Galili or Jone San Martin, after training in different dance schools in the Basque Country and graduating in Physics. In 2014 he traveled to Holstebro (Denmark) to work at the Black Box Dance Company and at the same time attended the Gaga Winter Course in Tel Aviv. In 2015 he returned to the Basque Country to be part of a project called "Oskara", a collaboration between Kukai Dantza and Marcos Morau/La Veronal. He was nominated for best male interpreter at the MAX 2017 awards for this work. In the Festival DNA 2018, he was part of GALA by Jérôme Bel. In 2019 he was nominated as best dancer for the "Premis de les Arts Esceniques" of the Valencian Community for "Canvas of Bodies" by Taiat Dansa. That same year he obtained the Master in Cultural Management from the Open University of Catalonia. With Jon López he founded and directed Led Silhouette, premiering the first piece in 2016, "Moira", at Festival 10 Sentidos, in Valencia. Since then, they have presented their own productions such as "Creepy Crawly" and "Errata Natural" in spaces such as Cuarta Pared and Centro Cultural y de Arte Tabacalera, in Madrid, and Center del Carmen Museum, in Valencia. Their work has been presented at international festivals such as Quinzena de Dança de Almada, in Portugal, or the Festival Internazional Nuova Danza, in Italy.

Jon López (Madrid, 1993), began his professional career at the Ballet de la Generalitat Valenciana, after graduating from the Royal Professional Conservatory of Mariemma in Madrid. Since 2015 he has been part of the Catalan company La Veronal, directed by Marcos Morau. Participating in different productions as a dancer and assistant choreographer, highlighting "Voronia" and "Pasionaria", he works with in international tours in theaters such as Sadler's Wells in London, the National Theater of Chaillot in Paris, Grand Theatre de la Ville in Luxembourg, Schaubühne in Berlin or in Spain at Teatros del Canal, Mercat de les Flors or the Teatre Lliure.
