The call for applications is open for professional choreographers and dance companies wishing to participate in the 2026 International Platform for Choreographers, a section of the Quinzena de Dança de Almada – International Dance Festival.

Held annually since 1992, this festival is dedicated to the presentation and promotion of Contemporary Dance. It serves as a meeting and sharing space for professionals, while also offering the public a diverse programme of dance activities, both nationally and internationally.

In its last edition, the International Platform for Choreographers hosted 17 pieces from 10 different countries. The three-day program of this section of the festival provided the public, artists and programmers with an intense set of activities, including shows, video dance, workshops, and a seminar. At the same time, professional meetings were organized, with debates and a pitching session, aiming to strengthen cultural and artistic exchange.
